Shipping and payment
The shipping and payment blocks use Magento's normal quote services. One Step Checkout places them on the same page, but it does not create shipping carriers or payment methods.
Shipping
For a physical quote, the buyer enters or selects a shipping address and chooses one of the rates returned by Magento. Changing the address synchronizes the quote and recollects rates. A quote with no usable rate displays Magento's no-quotes message.
For a virtual quote, the shipping address and shipping method are not required. The payment block remains available.
Payment
The payment block renders the methods that Magento reports as available for the current quote, address, currency, customer and store. Country restrictions, totals, customer-group rules and provider responses still apply.
The module can hide the coupon and gift-card components through its functionality settings. Hiding a component does not remove a coupon or gift-card rule from Magento itself.
Place order
The summary block owns the One Step Checkout place-order action. The flow saves shipping information, saves enabled checkout extras, saves a gift message when enabled, and then calls Magento's normal order action. The button is guarded against duplicate submission and reports a preparation or order error in the checkout message region.
