Category Price
Category Price applies a price rule to products in a category for either one customer or one customer group. It is useful when commercial terms follow product families rather than individual SKUs.
Pricesystem Core is included with the product and decides how the resulting category-price candidate competes with other Magento and Pricesystem prices.
Two assignment types
- A customer category price applies to one customer.
- A customer-group category price applies to every customer in the selected group.
Each record contains the category, quantity threshold, value, application type, website, optional date range and priority. Relative surcharges and discounts can use a selected base price.
If a customer and group record both match the same quantity, the Category Price selection rule decides between priority, group first and customer first.
