Product Assignments

Product Assignments let you link documents to specific products so they can appear on the product page.

Where to Assign Documents

In Magento Admin:

  • Catalog >Products
  • Open a product
  • In the product form, use the Customer Documents section

Inside that section:

  • click Add Documents
  • select one or more documents from the listing
  • save the product

Scope Behavior (Store View)

Assignments are store-view aware:

  • you assign documents in the currently selected store context
  • product page rendering uses current store context
  • if no assignment exists for the current store, global/default assignment can be used

What Can Be Assigned

You can assign documents that are already created in:

  • Customers >Customer Documents > All Documents

Eligibility on frontend still depends on document access rules (public/customer/customer-group/validity/password).

Remove Product Assignments

To remove assigned documents from a product:

  • open product edit page
  • open Customer Documents section
  • remove selected entries
  • save product
