Assign Documents to Products

Product assignments connect files such as manuals, certificates and data sheets to catalog items. The assignment is store-scoped, so the same product can expose different documents in different storefronts.

From the product

Open a product in Magento Admin and use its Customer Documents section to select documents for the current store view. Save the product after confirming the selection.

What customers see

Eligible documents can appear on the product page, depending on Product Documents View Mode. The optional cart ZIP can also collect eligible local documents assigned to products in the current cart.

Product assignment does not make every document public. Customer access, website scope, validity, passwords and download limits still apply.

If a document is missing from one storefront, check the product assignment's store scope first. A default-scope assignment may be used as a fallback when there is no assignment for the active store.
