Consolidated Freight Charges

A consolidated shipment often needs one charge for a group of products rather than a charge for every unit. Bulkgood can support several fixed-price models, but it does not build packages or calculate pallet utilization.

Use the highest product price

If each bulk product carries a handling value and the most expensive requirement should determine the shipment charge:

1. Put Bulkgood Price / Product first.
2. Set Price Calculation Method to Highest.
3. Set Calculate Bulkgood Price by Qty to No.
4. Give every relevant bulk product a general price.

For product values 40.00, 65.00 and 25.00, checkout returns 65.00.

Use a Table Rates quantity band

If the total item count should determine one cart charge, make Table Rate the first source and select Magento's Number of Items vs. Destination condition. Add Bulkgood = 1 rows for the required quantity thresholds.

This uses Magento's cart-level Table Rates lookup. Do not also expect the Bulkgood quantity option to multiply the returned table price.

Limits

The extension does not know how many physical pallets a set of products occupies. It also does not split products into packages or optimize a load. If a pallet count differs from cart quantity, calculate and store a suitable condition value through your catalog or shipping architecture before relying on quantity bands.

Test the exact cart combinations that operations expects to consolidate, including mixed carts and threshold boundaries.
