Access Controls and Limits

Quick Order can be available to selected customer groups, all signed-in customers, guests, or a combination of these audiences.

Signed-in customers

Use Allowed Customer Groups to limit access. An empty selection allows all customer groups. A blocked customer receives the normal Magento 404 page rather than a partially usable page.

Guests

Allow Guests controls access to the page and cart-based workflow. It does not automatically allow Direct Order. Enable Allow Guest Direct Order separately if guests should complete that workflow on the Quick Order page.

Row and quantity limits

• Maximum Items counts submitted rows.
• Maximum Item Quantity limits the quantity on an individual row.
• 0 means that Quick Order adds no extra limit.

Magento's stock, minimum-sale quantity, maximum-sale quantity and quantity-increment rules still apply. Quick Order can adjust or reject a row when those catalog rules are stricter.

Existing carts

Direct Order uses a temporary checkout quote. If a buyer already has items in the normal cart, Quick Order can show a prompt and preserve that cart while the new order is prepared. With restoration enabled, the earlier cart is restored after the Quick Order checkout or when the buyer returns to the cart.

Test this behavior with an actual signed-in buyer before launch. It is easy to miss when testing only with an empty cart.
